Marlon Cates is a native of Richmond, Virginia, with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (Accounting) and a minor in Human Resources from the Florida Institute of Technology. As a certified Xero Partner and Gusto Certified People Advisor, he brings a robust, tech-forward skill set to modern business accounting.

Jamiee Cates is the Client Support Specialist at Cates Tax Plus and the go-to person for new clients starting their journey with the firm. A proud graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, Jamiee holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree, bringing a strong foundation in communication, organization, and leadership to her role. She is also a Level 2 Xero Certified Professional, ensuring she is well-equipped to guide clients through our cloud-based accounting systems.
